State Route 85 North -- from Walton County, Florida -- becomes State Route 55 in Alabama. The town of Florala lies right on the border. Just a piece up the road from this photo lies Florala Wetlands Park and Florala State Park, on Lake Jackson. Just beyond the park entrance, in downtown Florala, US 331 meets AL Highways 54 and 55.
The view south, as one enters the Sunshine State. The nearest signed community is Svea, and just beyond that Laurel Hill.
