S.R. 85 North
One of the more dramatic water towers, despite it's simple painting scheme, is the Laurel Hill tower on Florida Highway 85, about nine miles southwest of Florala and the Alabama State Line. As one drives south, crossing from northern Walton County and into Okaloosa at Svea, the highway curves and twists through the woods. Around the bend near County Road 602 the tower suddenly rises over the blacktop. You know you're in Laurel Hill, day or night. This photo was taken on the fly headed NORTH on 85.
